Kmart Women’s Clothing Page

Kmart women’s clothing page needed a face lift to better showcase the products and tie in social media as well as engage the user. The limitations I was faced with included lack of total control over the page, including the hero section and also design for multiple flex situations within the current CMS. The live solution can be seen here

I redesigned the brand banner to feature on figure models to help illustrate the brands. The off state is black and white and they go to color on roll over. The visual navigation used all modeled photography and changed from the old small square images to the larger rectangular images. More categories are added as the page flexes. The “What’s Hot at Kmart Fashion” section features a left column shop by section and a right column fashion consideration section highlighting trends and lookbooks. This section also flexes to work on multiple screen sizes.

With the recent success of Kmart’s viral video “Ship My Pants” Kmart is eager to redesign their Denim Shop. Currently the look and functionality are not ideal, so with less than 48 hour turnaround this was put together as the approved concept to move forward.

Stacey King was a member of the first Chicago Bulls 3-Peat team and is currently a Chicago Bulls TV announcer during the regular season. He inked a deal with Dreams for an exclusive apparel line featuring his trademarked catch phrases. I worked directly with Stacey to create the apparel and this included site mockup of all the designs, the logo creation and art directing photoshoots that later became apparel designs. I also designed his twitter background since he promotes the line heavily through social media.

E-Commerce

From designing product, to preparing it for display on the web, to email marketing, to using social media marketing, I have been involved in it all and know how it all works together. This gives me the experience of doing each task in detail, but also allows me to see the big picture goals.

For Fight Chix, I design the apparel, art direct the photoshoots and manage the website, email marketing and social media.

For the NFLPA I not only designed the products, I engineered a way to mass produce art and mockup images for a unique print on demand model that literally makes it look like the NFLPA has hundreds of thousands of products, yet houses no pre-printed inventory and only prints products after they are ordered, the same day!

For the Eagles I would work with a business lead and developer to create web and email graphics for specific targeted products.

Anderson Silva

So I entered a little design contest a couple weeks back. Sheppard Fairey did the new logo for Black House, an MMA team that has the best fighter to ever fight, Anderson Silva. The contest was simple, create something to pay tribute to Black House or one of their fighters. The Prize is Black House themed apparel from Roots of Fight. The contest was held by Cage Potato Check out the site. It was also cool to find out that the founder of Black House and Manager to Anderson Silva, Ed Soares, selected my design

Fight Chix will be back in Las Vegas in July. The UFC Fan Expo is always a huge event and this year Fight Chix is holding an official after party at the MIX. The MIX is located at the top of THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay and features the best views in all of Vegas. Shown here is the event poster for the party.
